And when it comes to accommodations – do you want the luxury and amenities of a wildlife lodge or tented camp, or do you want to get closer to nature with a full-service camping safari?

Below is an overview of the different travel styles we offer:

WILDLIFE LODGES

Tanzania’s wildlife lodges were built with “a touch of luxury in the wilderness” in mind, offering you the comforts of home in remote locations. After your Tanzania Safari Adventure day of sightseeing, you will be welcomed back by the lodge’s friendly staff. After a hot shower in your private bathroom, relax in your tranquil room with furniture that exudes warmth and shows a commitment to local craftsmanship – or simply enjoy a dip in the pool.

Dining on Tanzania Safari Adventure is always an event, and even if you’re miles from anywhere, you’ll be surprised by the variety and quality of food on offer. The chefs pride themselves on creating delicious dishes with fresh ingredients and flair.

We know the value of starting your day of exciting exploration on the right foot with a sumptuous breakfast buffet that will ensure you have enough energy for an eventful day.

In search of the Big 5, your wildlife lodge offers a freshly prepared picnic lunch where you can dine in some of the most spectacular locations in the national park.

And when you finally sit down to enjoy your dinner, a delightful experience awaits. For in the wonderful setting of your lodge, you will be able to sample some of the region’s finest food and wine over a 3-course meal.

The lodges offer unparalleled comfort during your stay in Tanzania.

TENT CAMP

Do you search adventure without sacrificing comfort as you experience a unique safari – where the light of lanterns flickers against the tent wall, and you fall asleep to the sounds of the African bush.

Tented camps are designed to give you an exclusive experience in some of Tanzania’s most remote regions. The camp’s friendly manager and team will go out of their way to make your stay memorable. As soon as you arrive, you will notice that they are exceptionally attentive and accommodating. They go out of their way to make sure you enjoy the secluded environment.

Tented camps offer many amenities including king size, double or twin beds, fresh linens and en-suite bathrooms with flush toilets and hot bucket showers or for the adventurous, a shower under the stars in the bush bath. Make yourself at home in your comfortable deck chair. And as the sun sets, you’ll be amazed by the variety and quality of food on offer, prepared by the chef in the bush kitchen, despite being miles from anywhere.

Meals are taken in the communal tent. And when night falls and the bush transforms, there’s no better place to soak up that atmosphere than in the dining tent, followed by a drink around the campfire.

Tented camps are usually small and have a limited number of guests. They add a touch of romance to your safari.

FULL SERVICE CAMPING

Full-service camping is a cost-effective way to gain insight into local cultures and bring you closer to the region’s wildlife.

All of our full-service camping safaris are hands-off, which means you don’t have to pitch your tent or help cook, wash dishes or pack up camp. Each safari is accompanied by a guide and a chef. They do the hard work while you enjoy the best of Tanzania’s bush. For safaris with four or more passengers, we also take a supply vehicle and camping assistants.

We take care of every detail and provide all camping equipment, including waterproof all-season dome tents for two, crib, mattress, sleeping bag and pillow.

Your team will light a campfire at nightfall. As the bush transforms, you can relax at the end of each day and enjoy the beauty of the African sky.

FLY IN AND FLY OUT

Our fly-in and fly-out safaris are perfect for people who are short on time or want to experience some luxury in the bush. All major safari parks on the northern safari routes have airstrips that are operated by scheduled flights. Accommodations for fly-in and fly-out safaris can be tented camps or wildlife lodges. Recommendations are made depending on the itinerary and budget.

Fly-in and fly-out is much quicker, but you will not experience the Tanzanian landscape and bush as you would on a driving safari. For this reason, many of our clients combine travel by vehicle and by air to experience the best of both.
